So at some point today I will try again & am determined to get it right.

Monday 11 January 2016

Had a very frustrating day yesterday!!! Finished knitting the 4th panel of a bag, stitched them together & it just doesn't look right!!! Really annoyed with myself, so now what do I do? Oh well just look's like I will have to undo it all & start again!!!

Monday 4 January 2016

Well I suppose today is back to normal!! No more procrastinating on the sofa, fiddling with pieces of fabric & cord, today I have to get back into the routine of housework....ugh!!!... & other wifely duties around the house.
But I do have some new ideas, so I will still be creative....hopefully!!!
Posting some pics of pieces that I have made over the Christmas/ New Year period.
All items below can be found in my Etsy shop elscountrymakes.etsy.com
A boho pendant, made from recycled denim

Four little bracelets, made from wire & wrapped in various handspun fibres

Friday 1 January 2016

I would like to start by saying a very happy New Year to you all & may it be a peaceful & prosperous one.
I haven't blogged for a while, no particular reason, just taking life a little easier & enjoying having family around.
Posting some pics of a couple of bags I finished just before Christmas & a few pieces I've been playing with since, well I can't just sit & do literally nothing!!!!
This quite large shoulder bag is made from French Tissavel

The back is from a lambs wool jumper

The inside is lined with navy silk, the strap is made from a chain belt

A little pouch made from the pocket of a pair of jeans

A knitted shoulder bag, made from a mix of sari & banana silk yarn

This coiled bangle is wrapped in the same yarn as the bag.

Lastly, a choker made for my eldest granddaughter to wear out New Years eve. Made from black velour, stiffened with felt, otherwise it would have just kept rolling down, I don't think she would have been too pleased with that!!! The button is designed to go at the back, but I suppose it could be worn at the front as well.
